Bagherhat, Nov 03 (V7N) — A roundtable discussion on “The Role of Media Professionals in Establishing a Monotheism-Based Modern State” was organized by Hezbut Tawheed at the Bagherhat Press Club hall on Sunday morning. The event was presided over by Talukdar Boktiar, District President of Hezbut Tawheed, while the chief guest, Shamsuzzaman Milan, Organizational Secretary of Hezbut Tawheed, delivered the keynote speech.
Other notable attendees included Moniruzzaman Monir, President of Mongla Thana branch; Enamul Morol, President of Fakirhat Thana branch; and Abu Musa, President of Rampal Thana branch of Hezbut Tawheed.
In his address, Milan emphasized that no ideology or system in the contemporary world has been able to ensure lasting peace for humanity. He said, “The world today is facing deep crises, and the only solution is establishing a monotheism-based state system.” He further highlighted that any governance system that fails to ensure citizens’ security, justice, human rights, and basic needs is inherently unsuccessful. He stressed that the media has an indispensable role in fostering a just society through peaceful engagement and informed reporting.
Speakers at the roundtable underscored the importance of the media in disseminating accurate history and factual events to guide public opinion. They noted that responsible journalism can contribute significantly to social reform and the establishment of a fair and equitable society.
During the discussion session, several journalists from various print and electronic media outlets in Bagherhat shared their perspectives on the media’s role in nation-building, emphasizing the need for impartial and ethical reporting to support the creation of a justice-based society.
The event concluded with an interactive session where media professionals exchanged ideas on strategies for constructive media engagement in state-building initiatives.
