Jhalokathi, Jan 07 (V7N) — A yard meeting was held on Tuesday morning to raise awareness and encourage public participation in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum 2026. The event took place at the Kushangal Union Parishad auditorium at 11:30 am, organized by the District Information Office.

The meeting was inaugurated by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer, Md. Zobayer Habib, who attended as the chief guest. The session was presided over by Kushangal Union Parishad Panel Chairman Md. Ayub Ali Howlader.

Speakers at the meeting included District Election Officer Lelin Bala, Upazila Election Officer Md. Nazmul Hossain, and Women’s Affairs Officer Nasrin Akter, among others. They urged citizens to actively participate in the upcoming parliamentary election and referendum, emphasizing the importance of exercising their democratic rights.

The event also served as a platform to inform the public about the election process, voter responsibilities, and the significance of free and fair participation in shaping the nation’s future.
