Bogura, Jan 08 (V7N) – In preparation for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the Referendum 2026, coordination meetings on election-related activities were held in Bogura and Naogaon districts on Wednesday. The meetings were jointly organized by the Bogura District Administration and the Naogaon District Administration with the aim of ensuring a free, fair, and orderly electoral process.
Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr. A. N. M. Bazlur Rashid attended both meetings as the chief guest and provided detailed directives on administrative readiness, law and order, and inter-agency coordination to facilitate the smooth conduct of the upcoming election and referendum.
The Bogura meeting was held at the conference hall of the Bogura Deputy Commissioner’s Office, known as Karatoa. The session focused on election preparedness and coordination among administrative and law enforcement agencies. Bogura Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Md. Toufiqul Rahman presided over the meeting. Special guests included Deputy Inspector General of Police for Rajshahi Range, Mohammad Shahjahan, PPM (Bar), and Bogura Superintendent of Police Md. Shahadat Hossain. Senior officials, including upazila nirbahi officers and officers-in-charge of police stations, also attended and shared their views on election preparedness.
Later, a similar coordination meeting was held at the conference hall of the Naogaon Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Naogaon Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Md. Saiful Islam presided over the meeting. Rajshahi Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohammad Shahjahan, PPM (Bar), was present as a special guest. Discussions at the meeting centered on logistical preparations, security arrangements, and effective coordination among relevant agencies to ensure the peaceful and transparent conduct of the election and referendum.
Officials emphasized the importance of close coordination between civil administration and law enforcement agencies and reiterated their commitment to implementing all necessary measures to ensure that both the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the Referendum 2026 are conducted smoothly and in accordance with the law.
