Meherpur June 15,(V7N)- Over time, changes in environment and familial relationships have brought about differences. Traditional cultures are on the brink of being lost. To remind everyone of this heritage, a festival featuring yogurt, red rice pressed rice, and Himsagar mangoes was held in Meherpur. On Saturday morning, as every year, the event was organized at the Meherpur Government College grounds. The event was organized by entrepreneur Raju Ahmed.

Coordinator Hasanuzzaman Milon stated that in the past, when Aman paddy was harvested, homes would prepare new rice pressed rice, garden mangoes, and homemade yogurt and sweets to entertain guests. These items were also used to welcome new family members. Nowadays, fast food shops have become the norm in keeping with the times. New relationships are often celebrated in restaurants. Thus, this event was organized to remind the new generation of the old traditions.

The event was attended by Coordinator Zarafat Islam, journalist Masud Rana, Advocate Rakibul Islam, Hasanuzzaman Milon, Assistant Teacher Akhtaruzzaman, and others.
