Teknaf June 19,(V7N)- In Ukhiya-Teknaf of Cox's Bazar Bangladesh, heavy rain has caused extensive damage and thousands of houses have been submerged in water.

10 people died in a mountain collapse in Ukhiya camp. Due to heavy rain since the night of Wednesday, June 19, houses and houses have been submerged in water in various areas of Teknaf's Hnila, Whykong, Baharchara Union, Municipalitiy.


Cox's Bazar Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC) Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter and said the casualties occurred in four separate landslides between Wednesday midnight and morning.  

According to Cox's Bazar Meteorological Office Deputy Assistant Director Tofail Ahmed,  the district recorded 63 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours between 12pm on Tuesday and 12pm today.
