Khulna, July 18 (V7N)- Students from various colleges and universities have blockaded the Shibbari intersection in Khulna, demanding quota reform and condemning attacks on protesting students.
 
The protest began Thursday morning, leading to blockades on the Khulna-Jessore highway, Shibbari to Sonadanga, Mylapota, and Rupsa roads.
 
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed across Khulna to enforce a complete shutdown, while police presence ensures security, including at Shibbari intersection.
 
Most shops in Khulna's Bara Bazar and Dak Banglo area remain closed, and long-distance transport within the city is suspended, although some limited transport services are operational.
