Tangail, Aug 24 (V7N) - The BNP organized a prayer meeting in Tangail's Karotia Union, Tarutia Bazaar, to wish for the quick recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, seek blessings for the souls of the martyrs from the anti-discrimination student movement, and pray for the recovery of those injured and hospitalized. The event, hosted by the 6th Ward BNP, took place on Saturday afternoon and included both a discussion session and prayer meeting.
 
The meeting was chaired by senior member Samsul Alam and conducted by Advocate Sulaiman Haider, with district BNP President Hasanuzzamil Shahin serving as the chief guest.
 
Speeches were given by district youth wing convener Khondokar Rashedul Alam Rashed, Sadar Upazila BNP President Azgar Ali, district workers' party general secretary AKM Monirul Haque Monir, district volunteer wing convener Saleh Mohammad Safi Ethen, district student wing convener Durjoy Hoad Shuvo, and student leader Tanveer Hasan Rubel, among others.
 
After the discussion, prayers were offered for the martyrs, and cooked khichuri was distributed to the attendees.
