Jhalokati, Sep 12 (V7N) - The newly appointed Superintendent of Police, Ujjal Kumar Roy, met with local journalists in Jhalokati on Thursday, September 12. The meeting took place at his office in the afternoon.
 
During the discussion, the Superintendent highlighted that since August 5, some criminals have been exploiting the absence of police on the streets to commit various crimes, including theft and robbery. He stressed the importance of police presence for maintaining safety and called for cooperation to ensure effective security measures. He noted that without the police, providing security is unattainable.
 
He also addressed issues of inequality and favoritism in society, acknowledging that the country has not lived up to expectations. He urged everyone to fulfill their responsibilities to help implement necessary reforms and build a better nation. The Superintendent sought the support of journalists in this effort.
 
The meeting, led by Superintendent Ujjal Kumar Roy, included remarks from Additional Superintendent of Police Sheikh Imran, Jhalokati Press Club President Kazi Khalilur Rahman, former President and Freedom Fighter Chittaranjan Dutt, Freedom Fighter Dulal Saha, DBC News District Correspondent Alok Saha, and other local journalists.
