Dhaka, Oct 13 (V7N): The Ministry of Public Administration has revealed that the recruitment gazette for the 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) is set to be published shortly, as all necessary preparations have been completed.

Rahima Akhtar, Joint Secretary of the Recruitment, Promotion, and Transfer (APD) Subdivision, confirmed the news, stating, "The recruitment notification for the 43rd BCS will be released very soon. Our work is finished, and we expect to publish it within this week. We are aware of the eagerness and concerns of the candidates."

This announcement comes nearly 10 months after the Public Service Commission (PSC) made its recommendations, with the entire recruitment process taking about four years to complete.

On December 26, 2022, the PSC announced the results of the 43rd BCS, recommending 2,805 candidates for appointment, with 2,163 selected for cadre positions and 642 for non-cadre roles.

The written exams for this BCS round were held in July 2022, with the results announced on August 20. A total of 9,841 candidates qualified for and participated in the oral examinations.

The preliminary results were released on January 20, 2022, showing 15,229 successful candidates. The preliminary exam was conducted on October 29, 2021, with a total of 442,832 applicants, making it the second-highest in BCS history.

The PSC initially issued a notification on November 30, 2020, to fill 2,218 vacancies in the 43rd general BCS, with the application process commencing on December 30 of that year.
