Kustia, Nov 12 (V7N) — Islamic University celebrated Green Campus Day today with a range of activities focused on environmental cleanliness and awareness, spearheaded by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah. The event, organized by Engineer (Civil) Md. Alimuzzaman (Tutul) and his environmental organization, 'Green Architect,' highlighted the university’s commitment to creating a cleaner, more sustainable campus.

The celebrations began with a colorful procession at 10 AM, originating from the university’s administrative building. The Vice-Chancellor led the procession, accompanied by teachers, university officials, and students. Following the march, participants took part in a cleanliness drive and an awareness program promoting eco-friendly practices.

Addressing the crowd, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nasrullah emphasized the importance of maintaining a "dirt-free and environmentally friendly campus," committing to making Green Campus Day an annual tradition. “We pledge to keep our campus clean and sustainable," he remarked. "This day will be celebrated every year, ensuring future generations uphold these values."

He encouraged students and staff to avoid environmental pollution, stating, "We must promise not to litter our campus or allow others to do so. Our campus is not a dustbin—we will protect and respect our environment.”

The event, celebrated under the slogan "Create a dirt-free campus, create a beautiful life, and create a learning environment," reflects Islamic University’s dedication to fostering a sustainable and respectful learning environment for all.
