Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan has announced plans to integrate tourism education into the secondary school curriculum to cultivate skilled manpower in the leisure and tourism sector.

Underlining the significance of tourism education, the Minister emphasized its current incorporation in university-level programs and suggested its expansion to secondary education. He committed to engaging in discussions with the education ministry to facilitate this extension.

During a meeting with the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) executive committee, Minister Khan pledged full support to private tourism stakeholders and addressed their concerns, including the longstanding demand for the abolition of advance tax on foreign currency bills collected by inbound tour operators.
