Dhaka, Feb 07 (V7N) – The Amar Ekushey Book Fair continues to draw large crowds, with 275 new books published in just the first six days of the event. On Thursday, the Bangla Academy's Public Relations Department announced that 80 new books arrived at the fair that day alone.
Special Children's Program ‘Shisuprohar’ Tomorrow
Tomorrow (Friday) marks the first holiday of the fair, and as always, a special children's program titled 'Shisuprohar' will take place. The program will run from 11 am to 1 pm, offering a vibrant mix of activities, storytelling, and interactive sessions tailored for young visitors.
The fair will be open from 11 am to 9 pm, providing ample time for book lovers to explore the latest publications and participate in various literary and cultural events.
Thursday Highlights: Literary Discussions and Cultural Performances
The sixth day of the fair began at 3 pm and featured a series of discussions and cultural events:

At 4 pm, a discussion titled 'Smaran: Mahbubul Haque' was held on the main stage.
- Tariq Manjur presented an article, with Mahbub Borhan and Muhammad Asaduzzaman contributing to the discussion.
- The session was presided over by Syed Azizul Haque.

On the 'Lekhak Bolchi' stage, authors Tokon Thakur and Zakir Abu Zafar discussed their new books, engaging with readers and sharing insights into their writing processes.

The cultural segment featured poetry recitations by Poets Sakhawat Tipu and Jabbar Al Naeem. Renowned recitation artists Shahidul Islam and Ashraful Hason Babu also delivered powerful performances.
