Kushtia, Feb 23, (V7N) – The Islamic University (IU) unit of the human rights organization, Socchar Students' Network, held a fresher reception on Saturday noon at the IU football field.
 
The event aimed to guide new members on social responsibility and human rights issues, focusing on the prevention of ragging, student violence, and women's rights.
 
Present at the event were key members of the organization, including President Abdullah Al Rahat, Secretary Sagor Ahmed Siblu, Vice Presidents Rasel Ahmed and Mosarraf Hossain, Joint Secretaries Umma Habib Sigma and Mariam Akter Choity, and Organizational Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, along with other executive members.
 
Secretary Sagor Ahmed Siblu addressed the attendees, stating, "From today, you are a human rights activist. It is our responsibility to stand against injustice."
 
Abdullah Al Rahat, President of Socchar IU unit, highlighted, "Socchar has been actively working at Islamic University to combat student violence. We aim to collaborate with the university administration to provide legal support to harassment victims and ensure a safer campus."
