Dhaka, Feb 28 (V7N) – The admission test for dental units of government and private dental colleges, as well as dental departments of medical colleges across the country, was held today (Friday, February 28). The one-hour exam took place from 10 AM to 11 AM.

This year, a total of 68,684 candidates applied for the 545 available seats, creating a highly competitive ratio of 126 candidates per seat.

Exam Details and Passing Criteria

The admission test was conducted for 100 marks. To qualify for admission into a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, candidates must secure at least 40 marks. Those scoring below this threshold will be considered ineligible for both domestic and international BDS admissions.

The results of the successful candidates, along with the merit list, will be published soon.

The dental admission test remains one of the most competitive exams in the country, with thousands of students aspiring to secure a place in Bangladesh's prestigious dental institutions.
