Dhaka, May 23, (V7N)— A two-day meeting of the Central Coordination Council of 63 cantonment public and English medium schools and colleges run by the Bangladesh Army was held at the Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment on Wednesday (May 21) and Thursday (May 22).

The meeting was presided over by Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim, Chief of General Staff of the Bangladesh Army and President of the Central Coordination Council. Speaking as the chief guest, he delivered a guiding speech emphasizing the need to further energize and accelerate the contribution of army-run educational institutions in the expansion of quality education across the country.

The meeting focused on a wide range of issues, including policy-making, administration, academic performance, and the strategic direction of the educational institutions under army supervision. Important decisions were made aimed at strengthening the role of these schools and colleges in national education.

During the event, principals of various institutions were recognized and awarded honorary mementos and certificates for their schools’ notable achievements in academics and extracurricular activities.

The coordination meeting was attended by the Chief Coordinator and Director of the Directorate of Education, the Director General of the Directorate of Military Lands and Cantonments, other senior military officials, and the principals of all 63 educational institutions under army administration.

The event reaffirmed the Bangladesh Army’s continued commitment to fostering educational excellence and discipline through its network of institutions, which serve thousands of students nationwide.
