After the Eid holidays, all educational institutions were supposed to open from April 21, but due to the intense heat, the educational institutions were opened from April 28 by extending a week's holiday. But now the temperature has increased more than last week. For the second time, the government has issued a 72-hour heat alert from today. Meanwhile, schools have given instructions to keep colleges open. According to the instructions, classes in government primary schools will start from 8 am till 11:30 pm. Classes in secondary schools start from 10 am. The class will end at 4 pm. Parents are worried about how their children will stay in school for 6 hours in extreme heat.
There is frustration among parents. Many people think that students will get sick due to intense heat. There is a possibility of major danger. Attendance in educational institutions is also low.

parent named Moshiur Rahman said, how will the child go to class in the intense heat?  It would have been better to have a few more days off.  A parent named Sharmin Sultana Tania said, children and children will get sick when they come to school in extreme heat.  It would have been better if the school closed for a few more days.

Hira Khatun, who was waiting in front of the Govt Laboratory High School after sending her daughter to school, said, "My daughter is in the sixth class.  How to do a 6 hour class in this huge heat from 10 am to 4 pm?  School authorities should conduct morning shift classes.  Otherwise the class should be closed.  Most of the parents like Moshiur Rahman, Tania, Hira Khatun commented that it would have been better to keep the school closed for a few more days due to the extreme heat.

Meanwhile, attendance of students in schools has also been noticed to be low due to extreme heat.  Daulatpur Muhsin Government Secondary School Principal Md. Shahidul Islam Joaddar said, "Even though the school opened after a long time due to Eid holidays and heat, the attendance of students is low due to heat."  Attendance will be 20 to 25 percent.

Sheikh Farhad Hossain, head teacher of Senhati Government Secondary School of Dighlia Upazila said, "Today is the first day after the Eid holiday that we have started classes in two shifts on an experimental basis.  The first shift is from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM.  And second shift from 10:00 am to 1:00 am.  He said the attendance on the first day was satisfactory.  About 30 percent.

Md. Siddiqur Rahman, head teacher of Dighlia (D) Government Primary School of the same upazila, said that the class was open today from 8 am to 11:30 pm.  Attendance is above 50 percent.

Rashida Akhter, head teacher of Khanabari Government Primary School of Khan Jahan Ali police station said, We have taken classes in 2 shifts.  The first shift is from 8 am to 9:30 am and the second shift is from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.  He said that the total number of students in the school is 116.  Today attendance is above 25 percent
