On Wednesday, (May 29) Dhaka University (DU) and Yuxi Normal University, China, sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering joint academic and research endeavors.
 
The MoU signing took place at the DU Vice-Chancellor's Office Lounge, with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal and Yuxi Normal University President Prof. Duan Hongyun representing their respective institutions.
 
Key figures from DU including Pro-VC (Academic) Prof. Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Dean of Science Faculty Prof. Dr. Md Abdus Samad, and Dean of Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abdul Bashir were present during the signing ceremony.
 
Under this agreement, the universities will collaborate on organizing various academic events such as seminars, symposiums, workshops, conferences, and training programs. Additionally, they will facilitate faculty, student, and researcher exchanges, as well as share information and research materials.
 
Expressing gratitude to President Prof. Duan for his commitment to the MoU, DU VC Dr. Kamal expressed optimism about the academic benefits it would bring to both institutions. He emphasized that this collaboration would strengthen the existing friendly relationship between Bangladesh and China.
 
Dr. Kamal highlighted the MoU's significance in enhancing academic and research cooperation between the two universities, emphasizing its role in further solidifying bilateral ties.
