Khulna, Aug 02 (V7N) - In Khulna, police clashed with students during a major anti-discrimination rally, starting around 3:15 PM when a large student procession reached Gallamari. The police responded with teargas from Zero Point, leading to intense confrontations. Students retaliated with bricks, and local residents joined the protesters. By 7 PM, over fifty people were injured, and the areas around Zero Point and Galamari, near Khulna University, were heavily affected.

Seven individuals were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital, with four in serious condition. Several police officers were also injured, including a driver in critical condition. The situation remains tense with ongoing clashes and additional injuries anticipated.
