Khagrachari, Sep 01 (V7N) - The Khagrachari District Branch of the Bangladesh Primary Teachers' Association held a meeting at the Town Hall conference room in Khagrachari. The event featured a speech by Wadud Bhuiyan, the former Member of Parliament for Khagrachari and current President of the District BNP.
In his speech, Wadud Bhuiyan strongly criticized the current administration, alleging that Sheikh Hasina’s leadership has severely undermined the education system at all levels, from primary to secondary. He made these allegations during the meeting organized by the Bangladesh Primary Teachers' Association.
Wadud Bhuiyan asserted, "Sheikh Hasina’s autocratic rule has devastated the education system at every level. Her tenure saw issues such as question leaks in medical college admissions and the buying and selling of BCS exam questions for money. Financial corruption has disadvantaged talented individuals."
He further claimed, "There has been widespread corruption in teacher appointments at the Khagrachari Hill District Council, with substantial embezzlement of funds. During the Awami League era, getting a job based on merit without financial bribery was impossible. Now, the age of discrimination has ended, as students have shown that no form of discrimination will be accepted in Bangladesh."
The meeting was chaired by Masud Parvez, President of the Khagrachari District Branch, and included notable guests such as M. A. N. Abchar, General Secretary of Khagrachari District BNP; Zakia Jinnat Bithi, Principal Advisor of Khagrachari District BNP; and Joint Secretaries Advocate Abdul Malek Mintoo, Mosharraf Hossain, and Animesh Chakma Rinku. Also present were Md. Mozammel Hossain, President of Khagrachari District Zia Parishad, and Mahbub Alam Sabuj, President of the District Youth League. Teachers from all nine upazilas in the district attended the event.
