TUPelo, Mississippi, Oct 14, (V7N) — It’s a birth story for the ages! Country rock singer Brantley Gilbert shared the exhilarating details of “the craziest night of my life” in an Instagram video on Saturday. He revealed that his wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert, went into labor while he was performing at the Cadence Bank Arena during his “Off the Rails Tour.”

The video opens with Gilbert rocking out onstage when he’s suddenly pulled away for an emergency backstage. It then cuts to him on the phone with his mother, joyfully announcing, “You got a new grandbaby!”

The couple welcomed their son, Abram Howell Gilbert, on October 11. As Gilbert’s mother celebrates over the phone, the video features adorable black-and-white clips of their newborn. When asked about Amber’s condition, Brantley affectionately responds, “She’s a freaking savage.” His mother concurs, “I know she is. She’s amazing.”

In true performer spirit, Gilbert hung up to finish the show. Returning to the stage, he excitedly told fans, “We got a baby!” The crowd erupted in cheers, and his bandmates joined in the celebration.

In sharing the video, Gilbert expressed his admiration for Amber, saying, “Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget.” He thanked their road family and Brittany Thornton for their support, and most importantly, praised Amber for her incredible strength.

The Gilberts, married since 2015, are also parents to six-year-old Barrett and five-year-old Braylen. In a heartfelt joint Instagram post, they wrote, “We will never forget the way you got here, and we can't wait to see what you do here.”
