Dhaka, Sept 14 (V7N) – Mustofa Sarwar Faruki, Advisor on Cultural Affairs, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of legendary singer Farida Parveen. In a condolence message issued on Saturday, the advisor said her passing represents an irreplaceable loss to the country's music scene.
He further stated that Farida Parveen carefully preserved and promoted Lalon music and other Bengali songs. Her voice not only conveyed melodious emotion but also brought the profound philosophy and life perspective of Bengali culture to new heights. Her artistic contributions have inspired generations, and her legacy will remain unforgettable.
Faruki offered prayers for the departed soul and extended heartfelt condolences to her grieving family.
Notably, Farida Parveen passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Friday while receiving treatment. She was 71 years old at the time of her death.
