Bollywood's "Queen" Kangana Ranaut, renowned for her prolific career and controversial statements, has announced her departure from the world of cinema. This shocking revelation comes as the actress steps into the political arena as a BJP candidate from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In a candid interview, Kangana expressed her disillusionment with the Hindi film industry, labeling it as "fake." She affirmed that if she wins the election, she will commit fully to her political career, leaving acting behind. Kangana's remarks included, "Film Dunya is fake, everything there is fake," indicating her desire to engage in what she considers more authentic and meaningful pursuits.

Kangana's decision to join politics isn't entirely surprising given her vocal support for the BJP and her frequent praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Her political ambitions are supported by her significant wealth, declared in her affidavit: Rs 91 crore in assets, including a Rs 15 crore bungalow in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, three flats in Mumbai, and gold jewelry worth Rs 5 crore. Despite these assets, she has a debt of Rs 17 crore.

Her opponent in the Mandi constituency, Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress party, comes from a strong political lineage, making the electoral battle challenging. Vikramaditya’s parents are well-known politicians in Himachal Pradesh, adding to the competitive nature of the race.

Kangana's commitment to her new political role has also affected her film career. The release of her directorial venture "Emergency" has been postponed due to her election engagements. This movie, which was slated for a June release, highlights Kangana's ability to balance multiple high-profile roles, albeit temporarily.

The actress's move into politics has garnered mixed reactions. While some admire her for taking on new challenges, others criticize her for abandoning a flourishing acting career. Nonetheless, Kangana's bold decisions and straightforward nature continue to keep her in the limelight, whether in cinema or politics.
