Well-known director Mostafa Sarwar Farooki was admitted to the hospital on Monday evening, January 22, 2024, when he started feeling ill.

Actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha, his wife, confirmed that he was admitted to the hospital.

In the early hours of Tuesday, Tisha posted on her official Facebook page, "Mostafa has been feeling under the weather since last evening." Following his hospitalization, it was discovered that he had experienced a small stroke.

"At the Neuro ICU, he is currently under observation. Please remember Mostafa Sarwar Farooki in your prayers." Tisha commented.

The director is reportedly at a private hospital on Panthapath in Dhaka.

Though he is currently under close medical observation, he is not in danger.

Praying for the famed director, numerous celebrities among the fans and lovers who have commented on and shared the message.

Farooki is well-known for defying stereotypes in narrative and popularizing everyday language in television fiction. He has received widespread praise for his work on the television shows "51 Borti," "69," "420," "Choruivati," "Carrom," and more.

His subsequent films included "Made in Bangladesh," "Third Person Singular Number," "Ant Story" (Piprabiddya), "Television," "Doob: No Bed of Roses," and his most well-known picture, "Saturday Afternoon (Shonibar Bikel)," which has not yet received a formal theatrical release in Bangladesh.

'Ladies & Gentleman' (2021) marked Farooki's OTT debut. Together with Tisha, he made his acting debut in the Chorki film "Something Like An Autobiography," which was part of the "Ministry of Love" production.

Following his success in television, Farooki made his feature film debut in 2004 with "Bachelor," which starred a group of actors including Ferdous Ahmed, Humayun Faridi, Shabnoor, Aupee Karim, Jaya Ahsan, Marzuk Russell, and others.
