It's time to head back to the Dutton ranch! The eagerly awaited second half of season 5 of *Yellowstone* is set to premiere on Sunday, November 10, as announced by Paramount in a press release on June 20. Filming for these highly anticipated episodes began in Montana on May 20.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the conclusion of this hit Western series, with the first half of season 5 airing from November 2022 to January 2023. Initially, the second half was scheduled for a November 2023 premiere, but the dates were pushed back repeatedly due to the writers' strike. In November 2023, the network announced that fans would have to wait another year for the final episodes.

Amid the buzz about the new episodes and production updates, it's still uncertain whether Kevin Costner will return to Yellowstone. In a recent cover story for PEOPLE, Costner expressed his willingness to come back, though nothing is confirmed. "I've always felt that it might be an interesting moment to come back and finish the mythology of this modern-day family," he said. "And if that happens, I would step into it if I agreed with how it was being done."

Reflecting on the controversy surrounding his departure from the series, which he attributed to scheduling conflicts and a 14-month production pause during which he received no scripts, Costner, 69, expressed disappointment that no one from the show defended his contributions. "I read all the stories. I was disappointed that nobody on their side ever stepped up to defend what it was I actually did for them. There came a moment where I thought, 'Wow, when is somebody going to say something about what I have done versus what I haven't done?'"

Despite these challenges, Costner fondly recalled his time on the show and his role as John Dutton. "I loved the show," he said. "I liked the people on the show. I liked what it was about. I love that world."

As the series heads towards its conclusion this November, viewers can expect the Dutton family to continue navigating "shifting alliances, unsolved murders, and open wounds" as the ranch remains "in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park," according to the official synopsis.
