Dhaka, Feb 07 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) on Friday announced four simple options for voters to access their voter number and polling station details, aiming to facilitate smooth participation in the upcoming national polls and referendum.

According to an official handout, voters can obtain the information through a mobile application, hotline service, SMS, or the Election Commission’s official website.

Under the first method, voters can use the “Smart Election Management BD” mobile application, available on both Android and iOS platforms. After downloading the app, users need to select the “Find Polling Station” option and enter their National Identity (NID) number and date of birth to view their voter number, serial number, polling station name, and address.

The second method allows voters to call hotline number 105. By pressing the designated option to speak with an operator and providing their NID number and date of birth, voters can receive their voter and polling station details. The service will remain available daily from 6:00 am to midnight.

Voters may also obtain the information via SMS by sending “PC [space] NID” to 105. The voter number and polling station details will be sent in a return message.

Additionally, voter information is accessible through the Election Commission’s website by visiting the ecs.gov.bd portal using any internet browser.

The EC said the initiative is intended to improve voter convenience and ensure accurate access to essential election-related information.
