DHAKA, March 20, (V7N) — The country’s main Eid-ul-Fitr Jamaat will be held at the National Eidgah at 8:30 am tomorrow, marking the biggest religious festival of Muslims.

Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, will lead the prayers at the National Eidgah, the Islamic Foundation said in a press release on Thursday. Dr. Maulana Md. Abu Saleh Patwari, Mufassir of the Foundation, will remain prepared as the alternate imam.

Five Jamaats at Baitul Mukarram

A total of five Eid congregations will be held consecutively at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque:

2nd 8:00 am Mufti Muhibbullahil Baqi Nadvi, Pesh Imam
3rd 9:00 am Maulana Md. Zakir Hossain, Deputy Director, Islamic Foundation
4th 10:00 am Maulana Zobayer Ahmed Al Azhari, Imam Training Academy
5th 10:45 am Mufti Maulana Mohammad Abdullah, Islamic Foundation
 

Maulana Shahidul Islam, Assistant Librarian of the Islamic Foundation, will serve as the alternate imam for the Baitul Mukarram congregations.

Dhaka University central mosque

Various mosques and Eidgahs across the capital

Authorities said preparations have been completed to ensure smooth and peaceful Eid prayers across the city.
