Dhaka, Sep 26 (V7N) – Zainul Abdin Farroque, BNP chairperson’s adviser, said political parties will determine the timing of the upcoming elections, during a sit-in organized by Democracy Forum outside the National Press Club on Thursday.

He emphasized that Dr Muhammad Yunus will announce the election date based on political parties' consensus, reiterating BNP’s confidence in Tarique Rahman’s leadership. Farroque also criticized Sheikh Hasina for allegedly conspiring with India at the expense of Bangladesh's sovereignty and called for free media expression under the current interim government.
