Dhaka, Oct 11 (V7N)- Senior Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) , Ruhul Kabir Rizvi , has warned party members about individuals trying to exploit the party's name for personal gain. Speaking at a press conference held at the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan on Friday, Rizvi called for heightened vigilance within the party.

He mentioned that, since August 5, some opportunists have been leveraging the BNP's name to further their own interests. Rizvi urged party members to be cautious of these individuals who do not represent the BNP's values or mission.

Addressing the challenges faced by the party under what he described as a "fascist regime," Rizvi noted that many BNP activists had become refugees in their own country due to persecution. He highlighted that some leaders and activists, who sought refuge abroad during difficult times, are now returning and providing reports.

Rizvi emphasized the importance of not allowing those who abandoned the party during its struggles to take advantage now. He warned that some people are trying to curry favor with public administration, police, and media houses , but they do not truly represent the BNP.

The press conference concluded with a call for all party members to stay united and vigilant in order to protect the party from these opportunistic individuals.
