Dhaka, Nov 09 (V7N)-  Former State Minister for Information Technology, Junaid Ahmed Palak, has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after reportedly falling ill while in police remand. Palak was brought to DMCH around 9:30 pm on Saturday and is currently undergoing treatment in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

Md. Faruk, Inspector in-charge of the police camp at DMCH, confirmed the hospitalization. He stated that Palak was under remand in connection with a murder case from Jatrabari Police Station. The former minister was brought to the hospital after his health deteriorated during remand.

Earlier on Saturday afternoon, Palak was produced in court, which approved a 7-day remand for further investigation. He was initially arrested on August 15 from the Nikunja area in Khilkhet and has since been held in remand multiple times related to various murder cases.
