Dhaka, Dec 08 (V7N) – Zonayed Saki, the chief coordinator of the Ganosamhati Andolon, has accused the Awami League of orchestrating attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh to use these incidents as leverage with Western nations.

During a public dialogue in the Chandana Chowrasta area of Gazipur on Friday afternoon, Saki remarked, "Fascist forces are inherently weak. They are now engaging in conspiracies with backing from India."

He alleged that Indian media is disseminating false information about Bangladesh, portraying it as unsafe for minority communities. "To counter such conspiracies, the people of Bangladesh must unite," he urged.

Saki highlighted the moral responsibility of the Muslim majority in fostering religious harmony. "With greater numbers come greater responsibilities. All religious communities must stand united to ensure justice. Any humiliation or attack on Hindus, Buddhists, or Christians should be a concern for everyone. Unity is the key," he stressed.

Criticizing the political landscape, Saki described the current system as a "fascist framework under Sheikh Hasina." He claimed the constitution has been altered to enable authoritarian rule, with state institutions being used to suppress opposition. "Thousands of cases have been fabricated, people have been abducted or detained without trial, and this has paved the way for unchecked exploitation and looting," he added.
