Dhaka, Dec 16, (V7N) - On the 54th Victory Day of Bangladesh, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir fell ill while paying tribute to the martyrs at the National Memorial in Savar.

At around 10 am on Monday, Fakhrul was speaking to the media after honoring the fallen heroes when he suddenly collapsed and fell to the ground. He was immediately assisted by those around him.

His sudden illness raised concerns, and he was quickly provided with medical attention. The details of his health condition were not immediately disclosed, but his collapse during such an important national event drew attention from both the media and public.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had come to commemorate the victory of the 1971 Liberation War and to pay homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Bangladesh. His health condition is being closely monitored.
