Kushtia, Jan 04 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has pledged to create a Bangladesh free from extortionists and occupiers, with respect for freedom fighters and a commitment to ensuring employment for the student community. His remarks were made at a party workers' conference held at Kushtia Government College grounds on Saturday.

Dr. Shafiqur stated, "To build a Bangladesh free of occupiers, the syndicate must be dismantled. Our party stands against extortion and illegal occupation." He emphasised Jamaat's vision of fostering transparency and justice in governance.

Addressing the challenges faced by students, he criticised the previous government's approach to education. "The education sector has been destroyed by the past regime. Their leaders' children study abroad, and they lacked a vision for the development of our own education system," he said. He assured the student community that under Jamaat's leadership, there would be an education system designed to directly integrate graduates into the workforce.

On women's rights, Dr. Shafiqur dismissed misconceptions about Jamaat's stance. "No one will be forced to wear a burqa. Women will have the freedom to choose their attire and actively participate in various state responsibilities. They will be the safest under our leadership," he declared.

The Jamaat leader concluded with a message of hope, committing to reforms that ensure dignity for freedom fighters, empowerment for youth, and safety for women, promising an inclusive and progressive Bangladesh under his party's governance.
