The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) declared on Friday (March 1) that the two seven-member partial committees of the central and Dhaka University panels of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) had dissolved the current entities.

The BNP's senior joint secretary general, advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, released the committee's announcement.

The news release states that Nasir Uddin Nasir has been appointed general secretary and Rakibul Islam Rakib has been named president of the JCD's new central committee.

G.C. Roy Sahos has been appointed president of the Dhaka University unit, while Nahiduzzaman Shippon has been appointed general secretary.

In addition, the five-member JCD partial committee of the central panel appointed Abu Afsan Mohammad Yahya as senior vice president, Shemol Malum as senior joint secretary general, Amanullah Aman as organizing secretary, Mohammad Jahangir Alam as office secretary, and Sharif Prodan Shuvo as publicity secretary.

In contrast, Masum Billah has been appointed senior vice president of the Dhaka University committee, Anisur Rahman Khandakar Anik has been appointed vice president, Nasir Uddin Shaon has been appointed senior joint secretary general, Shamim Akter Shuvo has been appointed joint secretary general, and Nur Alom Bhuiya has been appointed organizing secretary.

The previous JCD committee was established on April 18, 2022, with Saif Mohammad Jewel serving as general secretary and Kazi Rawnaqul Islam Shrabon serving as president.
