Dhaka, Feb 22 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan has assured that if BNP comes to power, it will establish the rights of all workers, including those in the transport sector.

He made these remarks on Saturday morning (February 22) at a meeting of the Bangladesh Nationalist CNG-Autorickshaw Workers' Party held at the National Press Club.

Demands Raised by Transport Workers

At the meeting, transport workers demanded:

An end to double fines imposed on them.

Setting a fixed fine of Tk 1,000 in all cases to prevent excessive penalties.

During the event, BNP Chairperson's advisor Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar strongly opposed the idea of holding local government elections before national parliamentary elections.

He stated that the national elections must take place first to ensure a fair democratic process.

He criticized the current system, suggesting it could be manipulated to influence the national elections later.

This event reflects BNP's ongoing efforts to mobilize support from transport workers and its position on electoral priorities as it continues to demand transparent and inclusive elections in Bangladesh.
