Dhaka, Feb 28 (V7N) – A new youth-driven political party, the National Citizen Party, is making its debut today with a grand event on Manik Mia Avenue in front of the National Parliament Building. The event has attracted a large crowd, primarily composed of students and young activists, who started arriving at the venue from early morning.

Preparations in Full Swing

The event stage is nearly complete, with final preparations underway. Arrangements have been made for washrooms, medical teams, police booths, and drinking water to ensure smooth management. A dedicated women’s booth has been set up behind the stage, along with a special VIP area. Entry to the reserved section in front of the stage will be permitted only through the western entrance of Manik Mia Avenue (towards Aarong) after 12 noon.

High-Profile Attendance

Party insiders confirm that the event will be attended by family members of the martyrs of the July Uprising, injured fighters, and party leaders and activists from all 64 districts. Additionally, leaders of various political parties, diplomats, and notable public figures will also be present, making this a significant political gathering.

According to the National Citizens Committee, the following key leadership positions have been finalized for the National Citizen Party:

  • Senior Joint Conveners: Samantha Sharmin, Ariful Islam Adib
  • Senior Joint Member Secretary: Dr. Tasnim Zara

  • Chief Organizer (Southern Region): Hasnat Abdullah
  • Chief Organizer (Northern Region): Sarjis Alam
  • Office Secretary: Saleh Uddin Sifat
