Bagerhat, March 8 (V7N) – BNP leader Kazi Khairuzzaman Shipon has publicly labeled Jamaat-e-Islami as a banned organization. Speaking at an Iftar and prayer event organized by the Baharbunia Union BNP in Morelganj, Bagerhat, on Friday afternoon, he urged people to boycott the party, stating, "Jamaat-e-Islami has not received registration and remains an illegal entity. It is deceiving people in the name of religion." He further emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami has no legitimate existence and accused the group of engaging in fraudulent activities under the guise of religion.

The event was chaired by the convener of the upazila BNP, Mohammad Shahidul Haq Babul. Special guests included Shikdar Faridul Islam, convener of the municipal BNP, FM Shamim Ahsan, joint convener of the upazila BNP, and other leaders such as Samad Hossain Fakir, Afzal Jamaddar, and several other BNP figures. The program was conducted by Fakir Russell Al Islam, joint convener of the upazila BNP.
