Dhaka, Mar 13 (V7N) – Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Alexander G. Khojin, paid a courtesy visit to Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, at the party’s central office in Moghbazar on Thursday (March 13) morning. The two leaders discussed various bilateral issues during the meeting.

Following the discussion, Jamaat's Nayeb Ameer, Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, briefed the media, stating that Russia has assured investment in Bangladesh.

Dr. Taher further mentioned that Jamaat-e-Islami is keen on maintaining friendly relations with Russia. During the meeting, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed his gratitude to the Russian people for their support to Bangladesh during the 1971 Liberation War.
