BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi asserted on Friday that women have endured the highest levels of humiliation and mistreatment during Sheikh Hasina's 16-year tenure.
Speaking at a press conference held at Naya Paltan in Dhaka, Rizvi remarked, "As we observe Women's Day, it's unfortunate to witness women in Bangladesh facing torture, humiliation, and even fatalities at the hands of ruling party leaders and activists, both within homes and in public spaces."
Rizvi accused the Awami League and its affiliated organizations of abandoning their political ethos and transforming into formidable perpetrators of women's oppression across the nation. He claimed that their aggression has escalated to brutal levels under the protection and encouragement of state authority.
