Dhaka, July 25 (V7N) – Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has claimed that his party is now capable of leading the country in the same manner it organizes and governs itself.
He made the statement while addressing the Rukon Conference held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka on Friday afternoon.
“Jamaat-e-Islami will do politics for the welfare of people and humanity. Our leaders have no Begum Para or PC Para,” said Dr. Rahman, taking a swipe at alleged corruption among other political figures.
He asserted that Jamaat has not committed injustice against a single citizen in its 54-year political history, and expressed the party's desire to join hands with all Islam-loving and patriotic individuals.
Calling for an end to what he described as a 15-year-long judicial farce, the Jamaat chief emphasized that the party seeks justice, accountability, and a new direction for the nation.
