Dhaka, Aug 03 (V7N) – The National Citizens Party (NCP) has launched a large-scale rally at the central Shaheed Minar in the capital, aiming to declare its long-awaited ‘Manifesto of a New Bangladesh’. The rally officially began around 4 PM on Sunday, drawing leaders, activists, and supporters from across the country.
Key party figures including Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Northern Region Chief Organizer Sarjis Alam, Chief Organizer Nasiruddin Patwari, and other central leaders were present on stage.
A red carpet was laid out for the arriving leaders and activists, while large digital screens displayed powerful visuals from the July uprising, reinforcing the party's grassroots identity and revolutionary message.
According to party sources, the main highlight of the event will be the announcement of a 24-point manifesto. This comprehensive document is expected to cover critical areas such as:
-
Foreign policy
-
Food security
-
Education and healthcare
-
Economic reforms
-
Corruption-free governance
-
Expatriate and remittance strategy
-
Urban development
-
Artificial intelligence (AI) regulation and integration
NCP insiders describe the document as a full-fledged election manifesto, shaped by the political ideals and vision that emerged following the 2024 mass uprising.
Echoing last year’s gathering, Shahid Minar has once again become a symbolic epicenter of political momentum, as crowds from districts including Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Gaibandha, Kushtia, Chandpur, and Noakhali continue to pour into Dhaka. Photos and updates from the rally are being broadcast live through the party’s official Facebook page.
Party leaders expressed optimism that this event will mark a defining moment in the NCP’s national journey, setting the tone for their future political engagements.
