Dhaka, Aug 30 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Abdul Moin Khan has strongly condemned the attack on People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Nur, stating that the people of Bangladesh cannot accept such brutality.

Speaking to reporters after visiting Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday to check on Nur’s condition, the BNP leader said, “Yesterday’s attack should not be repeated in this country. We believe in democracy and peaceful politics. The struggle to restore a democratic environment will continue, and the aspirations of the people will be realized through fair and impartial elections.”

Meanwhile, Dhaka Medical College has formed a six-member medical board for Nur’s treatment. According to Dr. Zahid Raihan of DMCH’s neurosurgery department, Nur has regained consciousness but remains in critical condition.

The medical board is expected to meet today to review his treatment plan, though the names of the six doctors have not yet been disclosed.
