Rangamati, Sept 2 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a vibrant rally and public gathering in Rangamati on Monday, marking its 47th founding anniversary with a renewed call to restore democracy and resist all conspiracies ahead of the upcoming national elections.

The event, held at the Rangamati Municipal grounds, was presided over by district BNP President Dipan Talukder Dipu. Advocate Dipen Dewan, BNP’s Central Assistant Secretary for Religious Affairs, attended as the chief guest.

They further stated that since its founding, the BNP has played a vital role in defending Bangladesh’s democratic rights, electoral integrity, and national interest.

Following the rally, a colorful procession marched through the town, beginning from the municipal grounds and ending in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The BNP, founded in 1978 by former President Ziaur Rahman, is one of Bangladesh’s major political parties.
