New York, Oct 2 (V7N) – A group named United States BNP Family held a human chain protest against Anwar Hossain Khokon, international affairs secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), alleging his involvement in the harassment of party leader Mirza Fakhrul and other visiting officials in the United States.

The protest took place on Wednesday evening in front of Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights, New York. Organizers demanded that Khokon be expelled from the party immediately.

Masud Rana, former executive member of Dhaka Metropolitan South Jubo Dal, and one of the protest organizers, accused Khokon of instigating and conspiring in the harassment of BNP Secretary General and other visiting members. He further claimed that Khokon was attempting to form factions within the US BNP to serve his personal interests and install individuals loyal to him rather than committed to the party.

“We cannot allow Khokon to destroy the BNP Family organization. We will intensify our movement demanding his expulsion, and we call on the party authorities to take immediate action against him,” said Rana.

The protesters urged BNP leadership to act swiftly and ensure accountability for those involved in the alleged incidents.
