Jhalakathi, Dec 26 (V7N) – Nazmul Hasan Titu, central organizer of Jatiya Sramik Shakti, a subsidiary organization of the National Citizens Party (NCP), publicly announced his resignation from the party on Thursday via his Facebook account. Titu is a resident of Bhairabpasha Union, Nalchity Upazila, Jhalakathi district.

In his Facebook post, Titu wrote, “I do not belong to any political party; I want to work for the country. Even if I take a vow, I will remain on the side of the nation, not any party. Given the current political environment, which does not accommodate revolutionary ideals, I want to remain independent so that I can protest all injustices and fully exercise my conscience. I am committed to building the ‘Justice-Based Bangladesh’ envisioned by Shaheed Osman Bin Hadi.”

He added, “I have voluntarily resigned from my position as central organizer of Jatiya Sramik Shakti and withdrawn from all activities of the National Citizens Party. I wish the party continued success.”

Speaking to reporters, Titu emphasized his decision to leave party politics to stand with the people. “I want to become the voice of citizens rather than a member of any political party. I will continue to work for the Justice-Based Bangladesh envisioned by Shaheed Osman Hadi and ensure justice for his murder,” he said.

His announcement reflects a growing trend among young political activists in Bangladesh who are seeking independent avenues for social and political engagement, especially in promoting justice and accountability for victims of political violence.
