Dhaka, Feb 16 (V7N) — Tarique Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has invited Allama Muhibbullah Babunagri, Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government as a guest. The invitation was extended via telephone on Monday afternoon.
The historic ceremony will take place tomorrow (Tuesday, February 17) afternoon at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, where MPs will first take their oaths, followed by the swearing-in of the new cabinet.
Additionally, Tarique Rahman will pay a courtesy call this evening on Muhammad Rezaul Karim, the Pir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, continuing his outreach to key religious and political leaders ahead of the government formation.
