Brahmanbaria, May 17, 2024 - Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq sharply criticized the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Friday, accusing them of allying with war criminals, Razakars, and Al-Badrs, and acting as brokers for Pakistan during their tenure.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the construction of a bridge over the Teesta River at Krishnanagar village in Dharakhar Union, Akhaura upazila, the minister accused the BNP of exploiting and torturing the people of Bangladesh.

"The progress we see today is intolerable for BNP leaders like Mirza Fakhrul. They've lost their minds because of it," Huq stated.

He further claimed that the number of loan defaulters was highest during the BNP regime.

Huq was accompanied by Akhaura Municipality Mayor Takjil Khalifa Kajal, former upazila chairman Sheikh Borhan Uddin, and Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary Golam Samdani Ferdaus during his visit.
