Obaidul Quader, the general secretary of the Awami League, stated on Friday that the BNP will face severe opposition if it incites violence in the guise of a movement.

He made the warning on Friday morning while giving out winter clothing to those who were suffering from the cold at Dhandmondi, Dhaka.

The event was organized by the AL's subcommittee on relief and social welfare matters.

He continued, saying that the BNP currently has no hope and that they are currently conducting a mourning parade while flying black flags. He declared, "Therefore, they are the ones informing the country that we are losing."
The AL leader denied the BNP's assertion on the quantity of party officials and activists detained, stating that those who stormed the Chief Justice's home, set fire to buses and trains, and killed police officers by beating them are behind bars.

He also urged the BNP to deal with it lawfully.

Which nation does not impose penalty on those who commit crimes? Should we release them in accordance with American advice?" Quader asked.

The event was presided over by AL Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, with legislator Ferdous Ahmed, party organizing secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, and subcommittee members in attendance.
