The first session of the 12th parliament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday. Starting at 3:00 pm, President Mohammed Shahabuddin will give a speech during the opening session of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS).

On Tuesday, the opening day of the 12th parliament's session, the BNP and other like-minded opposition parties are planning to stage processions across the nation, including in the capital, while waving black flags and calling for new elections under a non-party administration.

The program, which calls for the dissolution of the "illegal dummy" parliament, will be observed in all major cities, districts, upazilas, thanans, and municipalities.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi stated that all of their party's units have made the required arrangements to observe the program concurrently during a press conference held at the party's Nayapaltan central office.

He urged people from all walks of life to voluntarily participate in the initiative to make it a success.

The BNP's Dhaka south city unit in the capital will stage black-flag processions in front of the Pirjungi Mazar, the Kadamtoli Bus Station in Jatrabari, the New Market, and the Dayaganj intersection. Meanwhile, the Dhaka north city unit will stage theirs in front of the Suvastu Nazar Valley Shopping Mall in Shahjadpur, Uttara Section-12 Graveyard, and close to a mosque in Mirpur-6.

These processions will be led by members of the party's advisory council, vice chairman, and standing committee.

In addition to the BNP, black-flag processions will be held separately in various parts of the capital by the Ganatantra Mancha, 12-Party Alliance, Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote, Gono Odhikar Parishad, LDP, Labour Party, Ganatantrik Bam Oikya, Gonoforum, People's Party, and AB Party.

The BNP will use this as its second street campaign following the January 7th 12th parliamentary election.The first session of the 12th parliament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
