BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has accused the government of carrying out mass killings during the ongoing anti-discrimination movement. In response, the BNP has submitted a letter to the United Nations, requesting an impartial and transparent international investigation into the alleged atrocities.
Following a meeting between a BNP delegation and the UN's resident representative in Dhaka, Amir Khosru stated, "We have appealed to the United Nations to conduct an international investigation into the mass killings committed under the rule of an illegitimate government. We want the truth to be uncovered."
He further emphasized the need to expose the conspiracies, both domestic and foreign, that have supported these acts, to prevent future occurrences. Amir Khosru underscored the importance of a neutral investigation to liberate the nation from such crimes and ensure that no one remains in power by forcibly killing citizens.
The meeting was attended by BNP's organizational secretary and international affairs committee member Shama Obaed, and media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan, among others.
