Dhaka, Sep 11 (V7N) - On Tuesday, BNP leaders held talks with two additional political parties, including Nurul Haq Nur’s Gana Adhikar Parishad, as part of efforts to strengthen the unity formed during their recent simultaneous movement.

The second party in the discussions was Ismail Samrat's Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad.

Both meetings took place at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan.

BNP has resumed talks with its allied political parties following what they describe as the country’s "second independence" after the anticipated fall of the Sheikh Hasina government.

After the meetings, BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury explained that the discussions were held with these parties, which had been key partners in the simultaneous movement.

He added that the talks centered on the shared vision for Bangladesh’s future.

“We’ve reached an agreement to work together to implement the 31-point proposal that BNP presented for national reforms, with the aim of forming a national government. We stood united in the past, and we will continue this joint effort in the future,” said Amir Khosru.

He also mentioned that BNP supports the interim government and will continue its backing in the days ahead.

BNP Vice President Barkat Ullah Bulu was also present at the meetings.

Earlier, BNP held discussions with its other allied political parties, including Gonoforum, Bangladesh People’s Party, and NAP Bhashani on September 7, followed by talks with Ganatantrik Bam Oikya, Ganaodhikar Parishad, and the Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) on September 9.
